A growing and innovative multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add anEnvironmental Scientist to their Toledo team!
Responsibilities:
Plan, prioritize, organize, and mentor staff
Conduct ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects (site inspections, research/interviews, data review/interpretation, and report writing)
Responsible for the planning, coordination, and contractor oversight of subsurface investigation projects (Phase II ESAs underground storage tank (UST) removal, remediation, and other field sampling projects)
Complete Tier 1 level technical review of various environmental assessment reports, workplans and other environmental-related documentation
Provide supplemental field and technical support on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects, including Categorical Exclusions (CEs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs).

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology or a related engineering degree
5+ years of experience performing ASTM/AAI compliant Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and other subsurface investigations
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word and Excel
Professional interpersonal skills needed to interact directly with clients
OSHA 40-hour certification and current 8-hour refresher certification preferred
Michigan and Ohio regulatory experience preferred
Travel for day trips and occasional
Salary is commensurate with experience.
