The unit is responsible for developing and implementing policies regarding hiring, compensation, and work-life balance, among others.About the roleWe are seeking a candidate to lead the People Management Unit within the People Department, alongside the Talent and Occupational Risk Units.The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and implementing policies concerning administration and labor relations, in line with the Institute's strategic objectives. Additionally, they will play a role in fostering and mantaining the sense of community among IDIBELL personnel.Main duties and responsibilities:Develop and implement the people management strategy for IDIBELL, including budget allocation, establising objectives, and defining timelines for achievement.Ensure compliance with European and regional employment legislation and other HR-related regulations.Align strategically with the People or Human Resources Areas within the campus (main IDIBELL partners).Update labor regulations and address and resolve incidents related to working conditions.Coordinate the administrative process for recruiting personnel up to the signing of employment contracts.Design and implement processes for accurate registration of staff members and affiliated individuals.Foster a work environment that promotes equal opportunities, ethical integrity, and work-life balance, including designing and implementing remuneration and teleworking policies.Oversee daily people management and administrative tasks such as contracts, payrolls, recruitment, and issues related to foreign employees.Coordinate with other IDIBELL areas, especially regarding the management of labor contracts related to competitive funding.Actively participate in process optimization and monitor adherence to established HR procedures and policies.Collaborate with the IDIBELL Direction on relations with the Work Council and the Health and Safety Committee.Monitor the performance of the People Management Team, ensuring progress toward IDIBELL's strategic objectives and supporting their professional development and commitment.Job requirementsProfessional experienceMinimum of 3 years of demonstrated track record and skills acquired in the Human Resources areaAt least 1 year of experience in team managementPrevious experience in designing and implementing procedures and policies in the HR departmentExperience interacting with the Work Council and the Health and Safety CommitteeEducation and trainingHolder of a University degree, preferably in Labor Relations, Law, Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related fieldResults-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to changing circumstancesStrong team-working skills, capable of managing multiple activities or projects simultaneously with varying degrees of complexity and conflicting prioritiesExcellent interpersonal skills with a high level of responsibility, empathy, and discretionProficient negotiation skills for addressing labor-related issuesService-oriented mindset, capable of multitasking with attention to detail and a willingness to learn and adaptLanguagesEnglish and Catalan/Spanish to an advanced level, both written and verbalWe will valueProfessional experience of at least 5 years, demonstrating a track record of skills acquired in the Human Resources fieldWhat do we offerNo. of positions:1Estimated start date:As soon as possibleEstimated annual gross salary:35.000€ - 38.000€, with additional variable compensation.You will be part of amulticultural team.We have a fun loving and friendly international work environment.Flexible working schedule- We know you have alife outside of work and we will work with you to make sure it's kept that way.Possibility to work some days in remote-Teleworking26 working days of holidayper yearSystem of accumulated hoursfor employees, from 88 to 104 hours depending on the year (11 to 13 working days), to attend to personal matters.Paid leave packageBenefits of constant training are offeredWe offer and promote diverse and inclusive conditions .
