DEPARTMENT Technology & Innovation - ETP JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES In the BPA plant, there are possible changes in the feedstock that need to be understood. The mission is to understand the operation of a distillation column being fed with a different composition. Main Responsibilities: Understand, current problem and establish baseline operation of the distillation column at laboratory by means of vacuum batch distillation. Establish appropriate standard operating procedures and experimental capability. Proceed with an appropriate design of experiments with appropriate factors to model the required operating conditions that the distillation column might need to cope with different impurity contents. Understand the potential impact on the potential new impurities in the distillation column. What are we looking for?! We are looking for an Intern who has Hands on Experience of laboratory labware, ease in handling him/herself in a laboratory environment, since most of the work will be in the lab. When would the Internship start? July 1st 2024 When would the Internship finish? September 30th 2024 The duration of the Internship is 3 months and there will be an evaluation at the end of the Internship. REQUIREMENTS SABIC is looking for a hands on student that communicates well Excellent knowledge of the English language, both verbal and in writing (as well as Spanish) Preferred backgrounds are Technical Bachelor and/or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering Soft skills: Proactive person, Analytical Thinking, Teamwork Strong team player: proven capacity to work effectively within the unit and with different departments. Student needs to be registered at a Spanish Institution and/or University in Spain to be eligible to partake in this Internship programme Desirable: Hands on experience of laboratory labware, ease in handling him/herself in a laboratory environment, since most of the work will be lab.
