Key responsibilities include:ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning:Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the sea freight logistics strategy for the European market, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives. Identify growth opportunities, evaluate market trends, and implement effective strategies to drive business expansion.Operations Management :Oversee the end-to-end sea freight operations, including but not limited to freight forwarding, customs clearance, documentation, and shipment tracking. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards while maintaining optimal operational efficiency.Team Leadership:Lead and motivate a team of sea freight professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-performance levels. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.Vendor Management:Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, carriers, and other service providers. Negotiate contracts, monitor service levels, and drive cost optimization initiatives.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients, understanding their unique requirements and providing tailored solutions to enhance customer satisfaction. Address any issues or concerns promptly, ensuring effective communication and resolution.Performance Monitoring and Reporting:Establish performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of sea freight operations. Regularly analyze data, generate insightful reports, and present findings to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.Qualifications & Requirements* A solution driven and value focused mindset is a must* A smart-working individual with a general understanding of the freight forwarding landscape is a must.
