The Platform fully centralizes RWE, epidemiology, outcomes research, RW-relevant health informatics, and biostatistics talent from global, international developed market (IDM) and emerging markets (EM) into one team to drive efficiency through internalized work. The Platform functions to:Enhance Pfizer's ability to determine unmet medical needs; support differentiated product labels for Product Development programs including finding alternatives and accelerated licensure pathways for new indications through the use of Real World Data (RWD), Real World Insights (RWI) and Real World Evidence (RWE); inform clinical practice on appropriate prescription and use of Pfizer's products; in collaboration with Access & Value, strengthen the value evidence package for payers and access/policy decision-makers; support measurement of short- and long-term impact of Pfizer's products to both patients and populations; support competitive differentiation. **The opportunity. ** Within the global RWE Platform, the RWE Science & Epidemiology Team Lead, Senior Director will supervise, direct and grow their more junior RWE Science & Epidemiology colleagues. This role will be responsible for intaking franchise and asset integrated evidence plans and tactics, then delivering high quality RWE, RW insights or other patient-centric evidence for prioritized projects to fully the tactic or strategic pillar, working with the RWE Strategic Planning Primary Care team. Leveraging their understanding of how RWE can support the entire lifecycle from molecule to marketplace, the successful candidate will direct their team of>10 reports and oversee the quality of timely real world insights (RWI) by understanding cross-functional pipeline / asset team's strategic objectives and timelines, collaborate with the team and RWE Biostatistics & other relevant colleagues to generate RWE, and direct creation of easy-to-understand summary reports. Their team's remit spans from global and prioritized international markets, where the evidence will be used to respond to regulatory commitments / requests, HTA/government entity needs and key projects that have been prioritized in a managed work queue by the global medical strategy committee. The role is highly technical and will execute hands-on evidence generation via a combinatorial approach of cutting edge retrospective data analyses, site-based evaluations (e. g. , Phase IV observational effectiveness studies, burden of illness, transmission, pathogenesis, risk factors for illness, determinants of product effectiveness and other studies), application of novel methods and technologies, and supplementation of interventional trials where appropriate with RWE through hybrid trial designs and tokenization. The Platform will insource this work to the fullest possible extent, so prospective candidates who have outsourced work to contract research organizations need not apply. They will advise their leader and their team on what type of real world data and which sources are most appropriate for completing objectives, partnering closely with the Platforms & Partnerships and Patient Advocacy & External Partnerships teams. The role will ensure the development of consistent business rules and standards, versioning rules as care pathways evolve. They will direct internal and external senior engagement, strategy, and execution in accordance with integrated evidence plans shared by their category-aligned RWE Strategic Planning VP and Sr Director colleagues, executive priorities, medical steering committee / medicine team priorities, and key market priorities especially where in response to regulator or HTA/payer commitments & queries. They will act to advising on and championing the use of RWE across the product lifecycle with Primary Care senior leadership and key senior internal stakeholders, providing additional support to high complex RWE projects. They will also create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to advance Pfizer's goals. This includes working with existing and potential data partners to maximize value generation and plan for innovation; with regulators and government agencies to be at the forefront of shaping RWE perspectives, policies, and use; and with other key partners. They will be expected to represent Pfizer Primary Care on high visibility initiatives and at industry forums and conferences. The Team Lead will advance and deliver against the category's RWE strategy, will ensure end-to-end RWE needs of franchise/asset teams are being met, and will deliver RWE educational and data/tool training sessions and communications to advance the use of RWE across the organization. They also will oversee their team's progress against strategic goals, provide updates on milestones, help their team to troubleshoot, escalate issues as needed, create ROI or other reports/presentations for diverse audiences. **ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**+ Champion the full integration of RWE across the asset lifecycle for the Primary Care TA, identifying opportunities for bold moves in RWE application+ Direct a team of highly matrixed cross-functional operational leaders to prioritize strategic RWE capabilities, create roadmaps and assess potential new partners' ability to drive innovation and fill gaps+ Direct, supervise and motivate a team of RWE Scientists to execute on a detailed end-to-end PRIMARY CARE RWE strategic plans, tactics, methods, approaches, and designs for a set of Primary Care assets and indications+ Partner to proactively support the leadership and key stakeholders+ Collaborate with R&D and Biopharma functions to develop RWE plans and deliverables for assigned assets and indications. + Lead the team to design and coordinate key/priority aspects of epidemiologic Primary Care research programs, including study design, protocol preparation, directing design and preparation of data collection forms and data tabulations, preparing data summaries/reports, publications (e. g. scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, internal and external presentations), systematic reviews, and technical reports. + Oversee and coordinate scientific activities related to assigned indications to ensure integration of this information into overall development programs. + Lead teams and external partners to maximize value generation from existing partnerships and propose new external partnerships to fill gaps in RWE capabilities to drive Pfizer's goals forward+ Directs team to track innovative and emerging RWE analytical approaches, guidelines, and tools;
