Your contribution:In this role, you will be responsible for leading activities related to design, development, cost reduction opportunities, and generic analysis of flooded lead acid products to meet customers' requirements. The role will be based in our Battery Plant, Guardamar del Segura/AlicanteKey responsibilities: What you will doYou will define, develop, improve, stabilize, and support flooded battery design and components to meet customer specifications and cost reduction targets.You will predict battery design performance and ongoing compliance also using computer modeling tools.You will document and present new designs and change proposals for Design Review evaluation.Other activities include:Responsibility for small projects and Engineering project tasks and its accomplishment regarding planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activitiesGuidance of program introductions according to Clarios program execution standardsReporting of product validation progress to program management and other appropriate leadership levels on a weekly and monthly basis.Preparation of design engineering plans, track progress, assure timely completion, and achievement of project goalsDesign validation builds, testing, and product documentationCoordination of the product testing execution to fulfill validation plansPreparation and support of risk analysis (FMEA) for new or changed designsCooperation with global Clarios facilitiesTechnical customer supportSupport to Application engineering (TAM)Support of quality initiative to assure product performanceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: What a successful candidate should haveUniversity degree (Bachelor degree or higher) in chemistry / physics / engineering or equivalentFluency in Spanish and at least an intermediate level of English (B2) is a mustWorking experience in engineering or automotive company (in technical, quality department or related) is a plus, highly motivated graduates are welcome as well!Good understanding of the fundamentals of all lead-acid battery manufacturing processes is beneficialSolid understanding of lead-acid battery design and function is a significant plusProfessional software skills (MS Office)Effective communication skills#LI-OG1About Clarios:Clarios is the global leader in advanced, low-voltage battery technologies for mobility.
