The Compliance Department promotes and enforces compliance with the law, drives a culture of compliance and ethical conduct in the Bank. We do this by :
developing and maintaining an open and transparent dialogue with regulators;providing timely, risk-based guidance, support and challenge to internal stakeholders;identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on Compliance risks;attracting, developing and retaining professionals who work together to deliver superior performance.Key Responsibilities
The overall mission of this role will be : Monitoring : Execute Monitoring Level-2 controls based on the annual monitoring plan for DWS legal entities in Spain, and report results to relevant local senior management as well as to regional DWS Compliance functions.Risk assessments : Conduct regular Compliance risk assessments (MaComp and MaRisk) based on regulation, policies, procedures, controls, training and governance structures, escalating and assisting in the remediation of identified gaps.Regulatory change : Perform and produce regular local regulatory radar for new regulation and provide it to business, support and control areas to allow them to implement new laws and regulations, as well as required regulatory projects.Infrastructure Compliance : Provide support to the infrastructure functions regarding topics like information barriers, regulatory reporting and market abuse regulation.Vendors Risk Management : Provide local support for regulatory impact regarding new and existing delegated activities, as well as management of the Compliance delegated functions.Sustainability regulation : Conduct local regulatory radar for new sustainability-related regulation and provide support to local Forum and working groups regarding regulatory new requirements.Experience and skills : A university degree on Business and / or Law or other closely related professional qualification.At least 2 years of experience in Compliance or Control Functions in financial institutions, including Level 1 control and operational control functions.Experience on assessing the design and operating effectiveness of control frameworks. Good understanding of Compliance and / or operational risks and internal controls.Good understanding and application of relevant financial and banking regulation.Good knowledge of financial markets business environment, products and operations, including investment products and banking services.Analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.Communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to communicate effectively across all three lines of defense and technical team members.Assertive and engaging and able to quickly build and maintain effective working relationships.
Language skills : fluent in English and Spanish.Structured and organized approach with a high level of diligence and attention to detail - ability to ensure high quality and consistency in the deliverables produced.Proactive with ability to search solutions and alternatives to issues within and outside a specific framework.Positive, cooperative, and flexible to work within a multi-task team as well as with other involved teams, including global and regional teams.Able and open to work and develop in a constantly changing environment.Our values define the working environment we strive to create diverse, supportive and welcoming of different views.
