ResponsibilitiesPerform all assigned work to agreed Safety, Health & Environmental standards and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high level of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) performanceParticipate in and advise on all design activities and initiatives, including provision of training, inductions, documentation review etc.Ensure that all designs are to required standards and that the project objectives are metEnsure that the work is completed to the agreed schedule and budgetUse suitable technology to increase efficiencyProduce air distribution schedules and indicate positions of air manifolds on plot plansParticipate in relevant meetings, such as Model ReviewsReport progress of assigned work tasks; identify and highlight potential issuesAdvise management of variations in a timely mannerSupport the Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer and Management where requiredCoordination with engineers to ensure design intent is correctly implementedCoordination closely with other designers and CAD Operators for the creation and validation of instrument design drawingsBe proactive in interacting with other disciplines to ensure overall project goals are metDrive innovative solutions to reduce cost and scheduleSupervise Junior Designers and DraftsmenKeep up to date with latest company procedures, client requirements and international standardsDesign instrument cable block diagramsProduce cable schedules from the cable block diagrams, project specifications and standardsProduce instrument hook-up drawings using the instrument database and project specifications / standardsProduce instrument location drawings based on the instrument database, P&IDs and plant layout drawingsProduce electronic and Pneumatic lay-outsProduce control room, equipment room and panel layout drawingsDevelop the design instrument index based on P&IDsProduce earthing philosophy diagrams, based on engineering inputDevelop / provide input on the 3D Model to clarify instrument requirements on the model inclusive of cable racking, junction boxes, air headers and field instrument locationProduce instrument loop diagrams, termination schedules and Instrument power distribution diagramsProvide mark-ups on mechanical & electrical / instrumentation interface drawings for back-draftingProduce requisitions of instrument cable, junction boxes, cable trays, Bulk material, etc. for enquiry, BID tabulation, purchase and drawing approvalsTo contribute and maintain environmental objectives and goals, in response to the Continuous Improvement of our processes in relation to the EnvironmentComply with the requirements and also its Continuous improvement in all our Company activities, to guarantee a position of global performance improvementQualificationsLeadership capabilitiesCapable of independently carrying out design activities & complete design deliverables in addition to guiding a Team of DesignersExperienced in the use of appropriate codes of practice & international standards.Use of Microstation and AutoCAD programsUse of 3D modelling programs (PDS & SP3D), SmartPlant Review, Electrical raceway and NavisworkUse of SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools)Experience in construction erection works supervision at siteSpanish language at native level is mandatory#J-18808-Ljbffr
