JOB DESCRIPTION: Wine List Management: Select and manage the hotel's wine list, including choosing quality wines that complement the culinary offerings and align with customer preferences. Customer Advisory: Offer expert advice to customers on wine options and pairings that enhance their dining experience, tailoring recommendations to their tastes and budget. Wine Service: Oversee wine service, ensuring wines are served at the correct temperature and with the appropriate service protocol to highlight their characteristics. Staff Training: Provide ongoing training to service staff on wines and service techniques, ensuring a high level of knowledge and skills within the team. Inventory Management: Manage wine inventory, place orders, and oversee proper storage to ensure the quality and availability of products. Event Organization: Collaborate with the events team to organize wine tastings, pairing dinners, and other wine-related activities that enhance our guests' experience. Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on trends in the wine world, attend tastings and industry events, and recommend new additions to the wine list. Requisitos : REQUIREMENTS: Certification as a Sommelier or equivalent training in oenology and wine service. Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment, preferably in a high-end hotel. Extensive knowledge of wines, wine regions, grape varieties, and pairings. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner. Customer-oriented and able to provide personalized, high-quality service.
