Iberchem is looking for a person to join our Applications Laboratory as Applied Analytical Specialist.As part of the Applications Laboratory team, your objective will be to ensure the timely and effective technical applied analytical support is given in order to support fragrance technology development.The requirements for the position are:Laboratory scientific qualification in chemistry, analytical chemistry or a related field (degree level qualification is required).Experience in modern GC and GC-MS analytical techniques including both headspace analysis and different extraction/analysis techniquesStrong analytical, organisational and communications skillsCandidate must be computer literate, flexible and able to work under their own initiative.Verbal and written skills in English.The functions, among others, are:Develop fundamental understandings of perfume ingredient and perfume interactions across all product categories using analytical methods such as GC-MS.Develop new analytical methods for the analysis of fragrances during use (eg. Bloom, diffusivity, substantivity).Prepare and distribute reports and presentations based upon learnings from analytical studies.Participate in technical programmes to develop new analytical techniques for extraction and analysis of perfumes in-use, under the guidance of the Global Applications and New Technologies Director.Provide analytical support to New Technologies team on projects as and when required, relating to stability issues.Ensure that the applied analytical technical knowledge gained is known, understood and is updated in Iberchem information systems.Ensure that short and long-term development directions, as set by the Global Applications and Technologies Director, are effectively executedWhat we offer:Possibility to develop professionallyExcellent work environment, surrounded by different nationalities.To be surrounded by great professionals with extensive knowledge, where you will never stop learningBased in Murcia and working hours from Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm with one flexible hour at the start time (until 9am).
