Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Vice President IT Security oversees information technology related activities within assigned scope of responsibility for a team of individuals who design, implement, and ensure the safety of information systems assets and protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. Interface with user communities to identify IT security needs and implement procedures based on findings. Communicate IT security policies and monitor compliance. Evaluate IT security level requirements. The preferred location for this role is Phoenix, Arizona.. Principal Responsibilities:O Leads and directs through senior managers and directors. Accountable for the performance and results of major function(s) that have cross-organizational/regional impact and are comprised of multiple departments.O Establishes policies appropriate for the function. Contributes to enterprise-wide policies and practices. Establishes strategy for division/business unit within strategic initiatives. Responsible for efficient utilization of significant resources within the function.O Objectives are defined in collaboration with senior/executive management and results assessed with a long-term perspective. Decisions are guided by functional/regional strategy and priorities.O Collaborates with senior/executive management concerning matters of significance to the company. Actively engages with and conducts frequent briefings for senior/executive management and/or key external contacts.O Decisions likely have serious impact on the overall success or failure of a function and/or business initiative. Erroneous decisions or recommendations result in critical delays or modifications to company objectives and cause long-term harm to business operations.. Work Experience:O Typically 12 years including 8 years of management experience. Education and Certification(s):O Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.O CISSPo CISA / CISM preferred.
