This will be attempted following two different approaches: 1. Seed germination tests to determine the toxicity of treated and untreated manure. 2. Growth assays to measure the potential toxic effect of soluble compounds present at low levels. Thus, the selected researcher will have the following tasks: Advice on the design and construction of assemblies for germination and early growth tests of seedlings. Testing of germination.
