Your new role: As Back-End Developer, you make meaningful contributions on the projects you're assigned to, and you complete tasks without close supervision. You work with your manager, fellow developers and other departments to scope, design and implement technical solutions.
You consider the impact of your work across multiple teams and proactively raise flags on potential issues. You identify problems that may impact your team or your projects, suggest solutions and help drive resolutions. You are able to learn new aspects of the technologies you work in without significant support or training. As Software Developer, you may choose to lead project teams, but you are not required to.

What you'll be working on: Independently write efficient, readable, well-tested code to accomplish tasks and solve technical problems; Communicate effectively within your team, with your manager and with other teams; Review and provide feedback on the code of your teammates; With your manager and teammates, scope and estimate level of technical effort for tasks/projects based on provided requirements; Break large tasks into sub-tasks; Test all aspects of technical solutions and stage technical solutions for others to test and/or review; Troubleshoot problems and research and implement solutions; Learn new technologies and languages to maximize opportunities for the business; Have a working level understanding of the systems your code/app runs on and know how to debug and solve systems problems with guidance; Consider the user impact of all that you do and try to maximize user satisfaction; Understand organizational objectives and produce work in-line with company goals; Set measurable goals and meet them; Help mentor new hires. What you will be bringing to your new role: 2+ years Professional Software or Website Development experience; Intermediate-level to Advanced-level proficiency with at least one object-oriented programming language; Proven ability to work independently with little to no supervision; Effective written and verbal communication skills; Self-motivated and focused; Adaptable and persistent despite roadblocks and change; Collaborative problem-solver keen to work in a team environment; College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience; What's in it for you!
