Annex 21 Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21training programme where whilst undergoing training they will be paid 70% of the top of Band 6(£46,100) and on completion of training will then move on to Band 6scale.
The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Biomedical Scientist (Annex 21), based in University Hospital Hairmyres. The postholder will process a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Haematology/Blood Transfusion using a range of scientific measurements and technical procedures on patient samples. You will provides advice to clinicians and other healthcare staff as to appropriateness of tests and time-scales, be responsible for own work and use specialist training to operate complex equipment and solve problems, actas a mentor to less experienced Biomedical Scientists and participates in training /supervision of Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.
