Our engineers take care of each step of a project, from the initial idea to the final design, working with a range of structure types, from the simplest culvert, to complex bridges. We specialize in roadway and pedestrian bridges, culverts and retaining walls. We also incorporate the following areas into the process: hydrologic and hydraulic studies, condition and scoping inspections, alternative studies, rehabilitation design, BIM and 3D bridge modeling, load rating and construction inspection.
Your Role: · Design bridges, culverts and retaining walls
· Plan production including 3D Modeling and CADD
· Load rating analysis of bridges
· Prepare structural evaluation studies, structure-type studies, and similar reports
· Computation of estimated quantities, plan notes, and development of cost estimates
· Site visits to support the design process
· Supervise the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with state and local officials and other outside agencies and sub-consultants
· Participate in business development efforts and meet with clients
Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
· Professional Engineer (PE) License, required
· 10+ years of engineering experience, which must include bridge design and plan production
· Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
· Familiarity with Ohio DOT bridge design standards
· Experience with computer software such as OpenRoads, AutoCAD, OpenBridge Designer, AASHTOWare BrR
· Experience as Bridge Inspection Team Leader is a plus
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
