• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Profound understanding of HVAC, lighting, metering and other building systems, coupled with energy management expertise.
• Awareness of relevant programming languages such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, or similar protocols.
• Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to optimize system performance.
• Track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects within a dynamic environment.
• Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to address challenges creatively and strategically.
• Business development mindset with experience of creating and launching new products or teams.
• Experience in facility management.

Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.
Purpose of job
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Building Management System (BMS) Manager to recruit, lead and mentor a new global BMS support team. This pivotal role demands a seasoned professional with a robust background in BMS management, coupled with exceptional leadership prowess and business acumen. The successful candidate will implement, maintain, enhance, and optimize our global services while instilling a culture of innovation and customer-centricity.

Responsibilities
• Design and own the global BMS Service Team start up and long-term strategies, setting a vision, roles and responsibilities and clear goals for the team.
• Recruit, build, inspire and motivate a new team that can work towards common goals.
• Collaborate closely with WWRE, D&C, Sustainability, RME and other stakeholders to comprehend customer requirements, business objectives, and operational needs.
• Responsible for the design, implementation, and management of advanced BMS Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, specifications and processes which are scalable across the globe.
• Implement and manage a robust change management process.
• Ensure new buildings meet IOQ criteria before accepting and integrating the site into the scope of the service support team.
• Leverage BMS data insights to proactively identify opportunities for optimization, energy efficiency, and cost savings.
• Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring a wholistic and customer-centric approach.
• Provide visionary insights and recommendations to senior management on BMS trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Manage labor needs, project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful implementation of BMS services and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and certifications to achieve best-in-class performance.
• Ensure the implementation of training and professional development programs to enhance team members' technical and leadership competencies.
• Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing within the team.

Barcelona, ESP
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Global project management experience and the ability to work with multicultural teams.
• Proficiency in cloud-based IoT platforms, data analytics, and visualization tools such as Sky Sparks and QuickSight.
• Certification with Tridium Niagara
• Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of control signals (VDC, mA) and low voltage power (24-AC/DC).
• Ability to integrate multiple communications protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, SNMP to a single platform with normalized data for standard visualization.
• Ability to remotely troubleshoot fieldbus communications issues for serial and RS485 networks such as BACnet, LON and Modbus.
• Ability to remotely troubleshoot IP communications issues for networks such as Niagara Fox, MQTT, BACnet/IP and SNMP.
• Certification with Distech Controls.
• Knowledge or experience in relevant programming languages or BMS systems.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Experience and understanding in electrical and mechanical aspects of BMS equipment.
• Proficient in other spoken languages.
