THE JOBWe are looking for a technically skilled, highly motivated, and proactive Business Analyst to join our team dedicated to building and maintaining our cutting-edge Customer Data Platform (CDP). As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the development of the backend software infrastructure that powers our CDP, enabling seamless data processing and management.What are we looking for?Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.significant experienceas a business analyst, junior product owner data professionalPrevious experience working on projects involving business & technical requirements gathering for Customer Data Platforms in high-velocity multi-country multi-brand rollout environment Proven experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.In-depth understanding of data management principles, including data quality, data governance, and data lifecycle management.Knowledge of customer data platforms and their role in enhancing customer experiences.Familiarity with data modeling, data mapping, and database concepts.Proficient in creating clear and comprehensive documentation, including requirements documents, user stories, and process flows.Attention to detail in documenting technical specifications and data-related workflows.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration between MARS Petcare divisions /brands and the GDP Digital Products development team.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Basic understanding of project management principles, with the ability to contribute to project planning and coordination efforts.Experience working within project timelines and delivering on project milestones.NICE TO HAVEExperience using data analysis tools and techniques to inform decision-making.Awareness of data privacy regulations and a commitment to ensuring compliance in data-related activities.Experience navigating and implementing solutions in compliance with relevant data protection lawsWhat will be your key responsibilities?The Business Analyst in the customer data platform core team is responsible for supporting the development team.You will: Collaborate with cross-functional teamson a daily basis, including product owners, developers, data engineers, marketeers and other stakeholders, to gather and analyze business & technical requirements for the development of a Customer Data Platform.Work closely with MARS Petcare divisions & brands to understand their marketing use case needs, define & lock in the scope for Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and subsequent increments (eg MVP+1, MVP+2..); map those use cases to underlying data sources and data integration flows ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions.Lead the documentation efforts by creating clear and comprehensive requirements documents; break down the requirements into epics & user stories, and process flows to guide the development sprint planning Conduct thorough data analysis and mapping exercises to ensure accurate and efficient data flow within the customer data platform.Act as a liaison between business units and the development team, translating business requirements into technical specifications and ensuring seamless communication.Assist in identifying and resolving technical challenges, ensuring that the data platform meets both business and technical requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, functionalities, and enhancements based on business value and impact.Participate in regular meetings, status updates, and project planning sessions to keep all stakeholders informed of progress and potential issues.Contribute to the continuous improvement of data-related processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to customer data platforms and business analysis, bringing innovative ideas to the teamWhat can you expect from Mars?Work with over 130,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.#MadridGDPMars is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
