About the roleThis is a brand new role to Argenta Barcelona, we are looking for someone to contribute to the growth and business development of the organisation. Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Manager will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to build a pipeline of work that aligns Argenta Barcelona's capabilities to the needs of our current and future customers. Ideally you will be based within Spain, Germany or the UK. You will: Possess a deep understanding of, and ability to, anticipate client needs and requirements and contribute significantly to Argenta's client relationship strategies.Develop relationships with Argenta's clients and prospective clients, with a particular focus on their Research, Development, Innovation and Commercial Business Units.Lead, prepare, negotiate, and close RD&I / CMO / CRO proposals / contracts to meet Argenta and client needs.Driving with internal stakeholders, preparation input, delivery, negotiation and closure of proposals / contracts to meet Argenta's business and client needsResolve client concerns, issues, and problems in collaboration with the Heads of departments and General Managers for each business unit.Meet or exceed sales targets.Hold excellent funnel and territory management.Stay up to date with key animal and human nutrition regulatory developments (e.g. regulation/guidance updates) & proactively identify business opportunitiesMaintain and develop relationships with CROs or other regulatory partners Manage cross referrals. About youWe are looking for someone who would be described as a motivator. Someone who works well with others to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the organization.
