Location – CFM Port Hope Position and Responsibilities Cameco Fuel Manufacturing is looking for a Project Engineer to join our technical team. The successful candidate will provide traditional project management functions (project planning, scheduling, financial control, contractor management etc.) while at the same time have the technical ability to work hands-on and contribute to design, commissioning, facilities, reporting, and shop floor documentation. T his role may have projects in either of the CFM facilities in Port Hope or Cobourg.
The candidate must have the capability to deliver projects both on time and on budget to a defined scope of work, using both internal and external resources and with all projects meeting both legislative and internal requirements.
Team oriented and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a requirement in working closely with Production, Quality, Process Engineering, and Maintenance groups.
Education and Qualifications You have excellent communication skills, can work with minimal direction within a multi-discipline team, provide strong leadership, display initiative and are results-oriented.
Requirements of the position:
Minimum of 5 years project experience within a manufacturing environment. Proven professional, hands on experience in the installation and commissioning of manufacturing systems. Experience with facilities systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Ventilation, etc) and contractor management. Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario. Assets
Experience gained from within a manufacturing operation utilizing automation. SAP experience, particularly with Project Systems Candidates who do not fully meet all qualifications may be considered on an individual basis.
