The Role You will be responsible for day-to-day analysis of laboratory samples by wet chemistry and instrumentation methods. You are familiar with the operation of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer (ICP-MS) and alpha counting spectrometer. In this role, you will: participate in quality assurance and quality control activities within the lab operation and assist with corrective and preventative action planning and implementation. perform maintenance of analytical equipment in the lab, mill, and mine, and provide coverage to other sites' satellite lab as needed. Required: Chemical technology diploma Two to three years relevant work experience Working knowledge of chemical laboratory principles and procedures You are a team player with the ability to work independently with safety as a core value Excellent communication and analytical skills Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs Willing to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft Recommended: Experience with an x-ray fluorescence spectrometer Experience with Microsoft Office suite Experience as a member of Emergency Response or Mine Rescue Team Conditions of Employment: Substance test Applicants will be considered for a level within the job progression, which is appropriate to their qualifications.
