About Us McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world's largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
The Role Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Training, you will be responsible to develop new and update existing training programs by utilizing Cameco's Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). You will consult with key stakeholders to develop this training curriculum and deliver on plans to meet the operation's needs. Using adult learning principles you will deliver training programs to site employees and contractors.
In this role, you will: Perform all aspects related to the Systematic Approach to training. Communicate and collaborate effectively with all departments and contractors. Determine training requirements and develop and deliver classroom and practical training. Deliver training and conduct evaluations of employee performance. Maintain attendance/enrollment and training records in computer data base. Required: Certificate in Adult Education and/or Train the Trainer certification along with a background in training and development in a mining environment. A combination of relevant training experience, on the job or formal education would be considered. Understanding of Systematic Approach to Training Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively (visual, oral & written) Contribute to the development of instructional materials Strong computer, presentation and communication skills are essential Experience in SAP and Microsoft office applications

Recommended: Previous training and/or peer training/mentoring experience (5-8 years) in Underground Hard Rock Development mining environment, Knowledge of Freeze Dilling, Long Hole Drilling, and Raisebore drilling. Salary Range: $80,000 - $119,000
