Himex Corporation, an established business active in the medical industry for over 30 years is looking for a hardworking, ambitious, and proactive Application Specialist to join our team and become a valuable member of our company.Job Description:Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-ray examinations, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Computed Tomography (CT) scansFollows instructions from Physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imagingCorrectly positions the patient, adjusts the imaging equipment to the specified positionProduces diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' recordsTalks the patient through the procedure and answers questions to lower their anxietyMaintains a safe and clean working environmentMonitors patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation to the patients and themselvesMaintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating future needs and placing orders What will you do: Carry out magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to best practice standards of radiographic technique.Provide a great experience for patients attending for MRI scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to resultsRun quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriateRespect and work within patient's and service users' customs, values and spiritual beliefs, making sure their views are sought and considered.Support patient bookings and make sure Patient Information Systems are maintained with accurate and up-to-date informationUnderstand and work in line with our suite of corporate policies supporting personal and clinical safety, including the Health and Safety Policy and Infection Prevention and Control PolicyDemonstrate safe, effective practice in line with policies and proceduresMaintain professional competencies and CPD.Take ownership and fulfil the requirements of any required statutory and mandatory trainingWhat you are responsible for:Adhering to all operational procedures as outlined by Himex Corp. (daily returns, timesheets, private mileage returns, etc)Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic TechnologyMust be a Licensed Radiologic TechnologistAt least one to two-years experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, and compassionGood mathematical abilities and technical skills Your application will include the following questions: How many years' experience do you have as a Clinical Applications Specialist?
