An open communication is an important part of our team, and we recognize and accept all new ideas and insights.What you will be doingWe are looking for a talented Public Cloud Quality Assurance Engineer to help fast-forward our mission-critical risk management solutions into a cloud-based SaaS and Managed Services model. The ideal candidate will be a strongly result-oriented software tester working with FIS internal hosting organizations, public cloud providers, our development teams, clients, prospects, and many more to help shape and drive the roadmap for our strategic cloud initiative. This role is technically very broad and requires the flexibility to react to a very fast changing environment.Be a driver in our journey from on-prem, to lift and shift public cloud hosting, to full SaaS application: Specialize in how our software applications function in hosted environments, and our customer computing and IT use cases. Test public cloud-based risk management solutions with focus on performance and cloud scalability. Engage closely with our Development, Managed Services and various IT organizations, internally, externally and client-facing Drive, monitor and unblock obstacles in the development and execution of an "out of the box" public cloud hosting solution based on our distributed .NET/Windows stacks.Continually Identify, prioritize, and push for software changes and automation of blueprint patterns that ease repeated processes (e.G., client onboardings, releases, patches, upgrades, …) Continually evaluate and suggest new ideas that improve our cloud readiness, cost-efficiency, automation, or maintenance aspects (e.G., build & deployment, monitoring & alerting, …)Contribute in our agile software development process from the business requirement phase until testing and documentation phaseDefine and execute testing strategy based on a solid understanding of the client requirementsSupport the development team and successfully manage corresponding business processesThis role requires coordination with and on-boarding of (where needed) some external, third party service partners who help FIS enhance its cloud offering for its clients.What you bringBasic understanding of Banking and Capital market products- like loans, mortgages, credit cards, deposits, bonds- along with risk management is important to have.Understanding of cloud technologies- especially those from Azure and AWS is important to have e.G., RDS, PaaS, Terraform, Kubernetes, WVD, Workspaces, multi-tenant vs single tenant etc.Understanding of how financial applications in a B2B environment are deployed/implemented or upgraded.Experience in software quality assurance and software performance testing.Understanding of 3-tier architecture of financial applicationsUnderstanding of cloud architectureBehavioral SkillsProactive: This role requires a self-starter, someone with an ability to coordinate and work with various internal and external teams from across Product, Implementation and Managed services, Sales and client.Problem mover: Requires the ability to gather information from various teams, understand the core problem and then engage the necessary FIS team to resolve it or move it towards a logical conclusion.
