.For one of our key clients and world leaders in materials technology, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is looking for a Cost & Claims Manager to assist our client in the realization/construction of one of their megaproject which will be situated in Northern Spain.Once the construction phase begins, full on-site presence will also be required. This is expected to occur towards the end of this year/early next year.Please note that you would initially work as an independent consultant (autónomo) through CMC with it being our client's intention to make the role permanent upon successful collaboration after or within the 2-year contract.Project Overview and Duties:As a cost & claims controller, your role encompasses supporting project organization, monitoring, and cost management within SAP/WBS. With each project phase, your responsibilities will expand, particularly during design stages. As new phases commence, additional tasks arise, necessitating efficient coordination.Your primary function is to alleviate project managers' burden by focusing on cost & claims management, enabling them to prioritize engineering, construction, and commissioning aspects. Crucially, you ensure accurate allocation of all project purchase orders to the respective WBS, thereby maintaining budgetary control.Key Responsibilities:Cost & Claims Management:Develop and maintain systems within SAP for issuing and tracking purchase orders, ensuring correct WBS allocation.Timely management of Shopping Carts (SCs), Purchase Orders (POs), and goods receipts (GRs) in SAP.Actively monitor SAP/WBS cost allocation, identifying and addressing variations.Provide actuals per WBS to facilitate Project Managers' forecasting.Vigilantly handle all claims and Contract Change Orders in collaboration with Project Managers.Supervise Engineering procurement card (ProCard) usage for non-travel miscellaneous purchases, ensuring adherence to approval protocols.Consolidate and report quarterly and monthly project cost forecasts.Facilitate accurate and timely updates of forecasts in Planisware.Oversee SAP/ARIBA file updates.Foster a positive work environment and enhance departmental reporting/meetings.General Duties:Execute tasks safely, adhering to instructions and environmental health & safety regulations.Provide cost control support to projects as needed.Technical Profile Requirements:Bachelor's degree or College diploma in business administration or a technical field.Experience in industrial projects, preferably related to engineering or operations.Proficiency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal).Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office suite.Familiarity with SAP and Ariba software.Knowledge of EHS standards and industry best practices.Ability to conduct tasks in accordance with established rules and procedures
