About the position Softonic is looking for a Data Engineer to join our talented Business Intelligence team in Barcelona.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that empowers our BI Engineers to transform data into actionable insights. Key responsibilities Manage current data ingestion processes on GCP Design and implement the architecture of Softonic's data lake located in Google Cloud Platform Design and implement the integration of additional data sources into the data lake Develop and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure related to data ingestion and processing Optimize data management and processing, both in terms of budget and performance Design and implement dev ops processes related to Softonic's data lake (e.g. git workflow, staging environment, deployment processes, permissions…) Work with stakeholders to identify root causes of inaccurate data points and develop fixes Provide support for users of internal dashboards and reports to help understand, improve and expand available data Minimum experience and qualifications: 3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience Fluent in Python programming language (3+ years of experience) Experience running data workflows and develop data pipelines with cloud orchestration tools working with Airflow Proficient working with BigQuery and SQL API integrations Nice to have: Dataflow Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Storage, Composer, Admin, Serverless deployments, etc ) Git Working experience with QLIK Cloud Why Softonic?
