The DCFO is a key supporting role for the Vice President (VP) Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and assists in delivering key business objectives including:driving Sinai Health owned commercial businesses, advancing the Finance Transformation Strategy, and rolling out the Business Intelligence Roadmap, including the business reporting structure for the System. The DCFO supports the VP Finance & CFO in providing stewardship for all organizational resources and financial systems and ensuring the integrity of financial management in compliance with applicable legal, governmental and regulatory requirements.The incumbent works closely with operational partners and key internal and external stakeholders (executive/management, internal committees, Foundation, government, banks, ratings agency, etc.) enabling sound financial management, planning and reporting, while also supporting strategic planning and advocacy through scenario planning and financial modeling.The role fosters effective alliances and communications with government and policy makers as well as professional, health care, educational and community organizations. The DCFO is a strong proponent of creating and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement, promoting operational efficiencies and advances in the quality of care through strategic investments and improved clinical performance.As a dynamic leader engaged in all levels of organizational change and priorities, the incumbent also plays a critical role in aligning functions of their portfolio with the broader System to promote organizational integration and transformation, and compliance with long range objectives and strategies, including the provision of excellent quality services. The DCFO is responsible and accountable for ensuring that operating plan objectives, financial, performance and quality targets are met within their portfolio, while also providing ongoing advice and support to peers across Sinai Health to meet these accountabilities.The DCFO will act as a mentor to their direct reports and provide guidance and direction to deliver the best quality within their portfolios.
