POSITION OVERVIEW: The Development Release Engineer is part of a centralized team (DRE). We manage DevOps across EA. You will provide important end-to-end Continuous Integration/Deployment services to several game titles within EA across a variety of platforms. You will ensure the systems are running smoothly, gather requirements, provide feedback, and manage configuration management and development build/test automation infrastructure solutions. You will report to the Engineering Manager for the DRE Football team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: We maintain scripts and software to build gamesWe maintain virtualized automation farms, find and address issuesMonitor metrics to improve automation systemsMaintain tools, integrations, and technologies to support a reliable release environmentReport regular status on assigned tasks and identify project risksExperience REQUIRED: 3+ years Software development experienceProficiency in a prominent programming language like Python, Java, Groovy, C#, or PowershellBeneficial Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience initiating and maintaining Jenkins instancesExperience writing Jenkinsfiles with GroovyExperience with parts of our DevOps tool chain – Source Control (Git, Perforce, SVN), Chef, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Nomad, or ConsulExperience with a non-relational / noSQL database such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or DynamoDBExperience with art pipelinesExperience with distributed build systemsExperience with large-scale, high-availability, high-throughput automation systemsKnowledge in gaming consoles
