EmailEl Dorado and Chileno Bay team members are committed to exceptional service with enthusiastic delivery, effective teamwork, constant improvement, consistency in all activities, being proactive and infusing each aspect of work with love.The Director of Spa & Wellness reports directly to VP of Operations at both properties and is responsible for overseeing the quality and consistency of all Spa and Wellness operations including, but not limited to, Spa, Health & Fitness, and Harmony Wellness experiences, with the potential addition of Recreational activities TBC. This role will develop exceptional member and guest experiences.Role and Responsibilities:Ensure the offering of high-quality classes, products, treatments, and other related offerings, conceptualizing, creating, designing and implementing dynamic programs including wellness-focused experiences, activities, teambuilding, recreational offerings, and other related spa and wellness initiativesOversee the ongoing development and positioning of the offerings in terms of overall concept definition, philosophy, treatment & menu offerings.Stays visible and interacts with members on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels and overall satisfaction.Lead the continuous improvement of our product offerings in line with our member needs and industry global trends, while anticipating future trends in the market.Define business strategy for the Spa and Health & Fitness departments, lead the implementation of that strategyAlign efforts, pricing, strategies in both communities, respecting each location's identityProvide overall leadership of the departmentEstablish and maintain an effective control environmentIncorporate any owner and corporate initiatives driven by Discovery Land CompanyUpdated policies and operating practices.Manage comments, requests, and complaints up to the complete satisfaction of the memberAnalyzes services issues. Executes approved decisions to keep moving forward toward the achievement of goals.Oversee the annual operating budget including capital expenditures, to achieve or exceed budget expectations. Being able to explain and justify variances.Actively participate in achievement of both properties' goals, as an active member of the management team; create strong relationships with all departments, participate in management meetings, daily lineups, communicating key activities of the health and wellness areas.Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner and ensure that all established safety protocols are followed.Monitor for quality, report concerns, and suggest change of all Health & Fitness and Spa equipment, tools, and areas to ensure a high quality and safe guest experience.Manage the cold plunge, pools, sauna, steam, jacuzzi and all fitness equipment according to industry safety protocols for chemicals, life safety, usage, and overall member satisfactionMonitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers; maintain strong partnerships with vendors to ensure effective operations and that services provide the best quality and value.Establish pricing previously approved by VP´s of Operations and CFO for and services offered to the member, being able to identify when adjustments are required according to inflation, market needs or company strategy.Prepare special reports; handle special projects and assignments.Full knowledge of policies, procedures and standards established by both projects.Oversee key talent & culture processes including, recruitment and selection, performance management and on-going development of the Spa, Wellness and Fitness teamCoaches and supports other project team members to effectively manage occupancy and controllable expenses.Ensure that proper image is always maintained with respect to grooming, attitude, demeanor, punctuality and dress. This is to be achieved both by example to colleagues and discipline.Ensures team is treated fairly and equitable.Fosters commitment to providing excellent service.Sets goals and expectations using the performance review process and holds individuals accountable for successful performance.Solicits feedback, utilizes an "open door policy" and reviews satisfaction results to identify and address problems or concerns.Qualifications and Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience as Director of Spa, Health and/or Wellness.Proficiency of Microsoft Office.Must work well under pressure.Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish.Preferred Skills:Strong leadership ability.Able to communicate well verbally and in writing.Willingness to learn, undertake new challenges, take initiative, working hard proactively.Highly organize and able to meet deadlines / produce reports timely.Team player, works well with others and enjoy being part of the team.Detail oriented- attention to details.Highly motivated.Able and capable to follow directions.Función laboral Otro#J-18808-Ljbffr
