WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Disaster Recovery Analyst, you will operate and maintain a specific production system/platform. Also, you will schedule and execute critical tasks, providing technical support in critical incidents, organize relevant training sessions for internal platform users.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Support the delivery ofSantander UKs (plus entities) Disaster Recovery planning, including the solution design and delivery and testing.Maintain robust communication with all key stakeholders including Santander's Platforms & Digital Delivery teams, PMO, CIOs, Enterprise Architecture, 3rd party vendors and the Bank.Coordinate quarterly review/update of IT Disaster Recovery documentation such as exercise task lists, workplace recovery plansInteracting and negotiating with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain protection services and productsWork with Disaster Recovery software used for document rendering and validate that all critical recovery information is current and maintained in supported DR tools Facilitate/coordinate quarterly reviews, updates, and signoffs to ensure completion of critical recovery documentation of infrastructure consistent with approved corporate policies, standards, and proceduresAdditional support functions as assignedProvides support for creation and update of application recovery guidesPerforms implementation tasks for recovery environmentsExecutes testingPerforms system and network design tasks for recovery environmentsEXPERIENCE At least 3 years of experience as a Disaster Recovery.EDUCATION University degree in technology, preferably in computer science.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Technical Skills Strong technical background in Intel hardwareStrong technical background in Virtualization PlatformsStrong technical background in Database InfrastructureStrong technical background in data centre infrastructure and configurationOpen systems expertiseStrong understanding of High Availability TechniquesUnderstanding of capacity and performance considerationsStrong understanding of Storage Areas Networks and Backend StorageStrong understanding of Networks, Firewalls and Internet SecurityStrong understanding of cloud based technology including voice delivery and storageProficient in use Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Project is necessary as is the ability to create tables, presentations and reports using these tools.Technologies VMwareWindows ServerUnix (RHEL, Solaris, AIX & various clustering technologies such as TSA, HACMP,GPFS)Database technologies (Oracle, SQL, DB2 & UDB)Storage technologies (SVL, NetApp & Centerra)NetworksCloudOTHER INFORMATION Occasional trips to the UKEnglish at least C1If you want to know more about us, visit our website https://www.betechwithsantander.com/en/home
