Education And Training Director Job Description

Education and Training Director Job Description The Education Director's role is to manage the Education and Training program and staff. The Education Director has several Assistant Directors to help with various aspects of the program.
The Education Director :
Oversees the development of educational and training programs, products, and materials for the BJCP Reviews and approves member-initiated training classes and programs Supports educational events by either running them directly, or by providing resources and materials to local organizers Authorizes training credits for member training Reviews and consolidates member-submitted training materials and documents Work with outside groups in preparing training videos and other educational materials. Some of the major projects undertaken by the Education and Training Directorate include creating a training portal, developing grader training, developing judge training, developing a consolidated judging vocabulary, and developing training courses and self-paced exams. Supporting training events at the national conference and regional or international events is also a duty of the Education Directorate's staff. Past projects included the development of a sensory training kit for judges.
The Education Director is assisted by Assistant Education Directors who oversee specific projects and programs, including development of new programs and managing existing programs, such as fulfillment of sensory training kit orders.
The Education Director is also assisted by an Education Liaison , who serves as a global/regional training coordinator for education-related components of conferences and events that partner with the BJCP. The Education Liaison also helps facilitate education courses and continuing education programs (either developed in-house, or through a network of regional BJCP judges). The Education Liaison provides resources and direction as a functional arm of the Education and Training program, ensuring proper use of current materials.
