The Environmental Specialist position is responsible to implement and administer standardized processes to ensure compliance to Federal, State, Provincial and Local regulations and Corporate Policies and Procedures. This position will help achieve world class status and impact corporate savings through the elimination of environmental impacts and implementation of projects to improve environmental operational efficiency. This specific position will focus on environmental compliance, Stellantis Production Way (SPW) environmental domain activities, Environmental Management System (EMS 14001), and environmental improvement goals.The Environmental Specialist position will report to the Head of US Manufacturing Environmental Compliance and be responsible for and not limited to:Manage routine environmental reports, environmental compliance tasks, inventories and surveys; including data acquisition, documentation, record keeping, monitoring, review, and approvalImplement environmental training programs and training assessments to ensure required training is identified and conductedConduct regular audits of EHS processes and necessary follow up to ensure compliance and advise plant leadership and corporate staff of findingsAnalyze environmental incidents, determine root causes, implement corrective action and communicate this information to plant leadership and corporateSupport new equipment programs at the concept stage to ensure that environmental design specifications and regulations are includedCoordinate communication of environmental regulatory inspection activity with plant leadershipLead environmental projects to improve key performance metricsSupport the implementation and maintenance of the plant's environmental management system to meet EMS 14001 (E2HS) and SPW Environment Pillar requirementsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related fieldBasic understanding of federal, state, provincial and local environmental regulations andRequirementsMinimum of five years of relevant environmental compliance experience such as auditing, consulting, manufacturing, etc.Willingness to work on any shift and additional hours as requiredEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership, analytical and problem solving skillsProficient use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other softwarePreferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related fieldStrong understanding of federal, state, provincial and local environmental regulations andrequirementsEnvironmental related professional certifications (e.g. PE, CHMM)Automotive or manufacturing environmental compliance experienceEOE / Disability / VeteranAt Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
