Detalles de la oferta

Would you like to oversee and evaluate a test on solar collectors at °C at the Plataforma Solar de Almería (Spain)? Our KONTAS test stand was filled with a novel silicone-based heat transfer fluid (SiHTF) to investigate the permeation of hydrogen from the evacuated tube of receiver tubes into the medium. The heat transfer fluid in existing commercial parabolic trough systems continuously releases hydrogen, which penetrates the vacuum of the evacuated tube and leads to significantly increased heat losses in the long term. SiHTF can absorb this hydrogen and, by ensuring a low hydrogen load through repeated venting, permanently remove it from the tubes. This can reduce heat losses and increase the energy yield of power plants. At KONTAS, we installed receiver tubes contaminated with hydrogen, through which °C hot SiHTF will be pumped for several months. During this test, the dissolved hydrogen is vented at intervals to be determined. In order to determine the residual hydrogen content in the SiHTF, samples are taken regularly and analyzed in the laboratory (not part of the work). The results provide an indication of the effectiveness of the venting strategy and allow for adjustments. Furthermore, we continuously record the temperature of the evacuated tubes, which allows conclusions to be drawn about the expected reduction in heat loss. Your task is to oversee the long-term test at the KONTAS facility. You will carry out various practical tasks to improve and conduct the experiment. Together with the evaluation of measurement data, this can also serve as preparation for an optional final thesis. The planning of the measurement strategy, improvements to the measurement technology and the data evaluation can, therefore, be used for the preparation of a thesis. you are studying process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a related engineering scienceyou are committed and used to working independently and responsiblyyou enjoy experimental workyou have basic knowledge of fluid systemsyou have good English language proficiency for the daily communication in an international environment Look forward to a fulfilling job with an employer who appreciates your commitment and supports your personal and professional development.
