Its primary responsibility is to oversee, evaluate, and document all financial transactions conducted by the institution to ensure the preparation of comprehensive and accurate reports in compliance with applicable laws. This unit handles various tasks, including the management of fixed assets, taxation matters, cash flow management, and the dissemination of financial data to stakeholders such as the Generalitat de Catalunya, financial auditors, clients,and suppliers.About the roleThis position directly reports to the Head of Economic Management and requires a dynamic, results-oriented candidate with a strong collaborative spirit.The main duties and responsibilities include:- Managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting functions of the business- Ensuring the accuracy of monthly closing procedures for general accounting, accounts payable, and treasury- Completing tax forms and settlements as required- Compiling monthly and annual financial information and key performance indicators (KPIs) for submission to the Executive Team and stakeholders- Preparing financial data for IDIBELL's budget- Providing support for the statutory financial audit- Ensuring the effectiveness of financial procedures and internal controls- Offering comprehensive assistance to the Head of Economic ManagementJob requirementsProfessional experience- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in Accounting and TaxEducation and training- Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business AdministrationTechnical & soft skills- Expertise in ERP systems,preferably Fundanet- Teamwork & experience in team management- Time and stress management- Responsibility & flexibility- Interpersonal skills- Ability to request and share information- Analytical skills- Organizational and communication skills- Process-oriented- ResilienceLanguages- Good command of the English, Spanish and Catalan languagesWe will value, but not requiredPrior experience in a biomedical research institutePrior experience in submitting files to the Generalitat de Catalunya on a monthly basisPrevious experience in preparing and presenting taxes, including VAT and IRPFWhat do we offer- No. of positions: 1- Estimated start date: 15/04/2024- Contract duration: Permanent- Estimated annual gross salary: The salary will be linked to the demonstrated experience.- You will be part of a multicultural team.We have a fun loving and friendly international work environment.- Flexible working schedule - We know you have a life outside of work and we will work with you to make sure it's kept that way
