This position will report directly to the Global Accounting Process Lead at our Asturias, Spain location within the Business Service Center offices.JOB SUMMARYThis role will have direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of global accounting transactional operations and internal control activities of the Company's end-to-end Fixed Asset process. Key responsibilities will include supervising the work of an outsourced third party accounting service provider, and collaborating closely with the Engineering leadership, site engineering leads and project managers who are accountable for the processes and systems that are used to direct our annual capital expenditures and a global portfolio.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:- Supervises transactional activities performed by the staff of an outsourced third-party accounting service provider to ensure they are completed timely and accurately in accordance with the contractual service level agreements- Leads and coordinates the global month end general ledger close and reporting activities for Fixed Assets processes from SAP to HFM, to consolidate Company Financial Statements. Part of close activities include review of journal entries, resolution of complex problems, review of monthly rollforwards, and various fixed asset reports.- Collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Site Operations, IT, Plant Accounting, Corporate Accounting and Tax teams to address all accounting and reporting requirements.- Develops and maintains operational procedures documentation for fixed asset transactional accounting activities.- Responsible for ensuring the internal controls (SOX) over fixed asset accounting are operating effectively, including Account Reconciliations, MJE reviews, and Open Construction Balance monitoring- Work closely with the tax team to support efforts related to VAT, property and other taxes- Supports global consolidated and local statutory financial statement audit requirements related to fixed assets- Manages requests for data and ad hoc analyses related to Fixed Asset accounting activities.- Collaborates with Engineering and lT teams on special projects such as changes to capital management and/or ERP systems to ensure financial accounting and controls considerations are raised and addressed- Supports continuous improvement that simplifies and standardizes fixed asset and lease accounting processes globallyThe following is_required_ for this role:- Experience supervising/monitoring an outsourced service provider and managing service level agreements and related compliance monitoring- 3-5 + years of accounting experience (fixed asset accounting experience)- Experience with SAP, Oracle or another large-scale ERP- Ability to establish and manage processes and related internal controls- Experience working across various jurisdictions (multistate and/or multinational)- Knowledge of the fixed asset business process and related accounting activitiesThe following is_preferred_ for this role:- 2+ year of supervisory experience- Ability to manage teams working in various locations / remotely**Benefits**:- Competitive Compensation- Comprehensive Benefits Packages- Employee Stock Purchase Program- Learning and Development Opportunities- Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives- Company-paid Volunteer DaysWE'RE CHEMOURS.
