We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced FTTH / GPON Network Deployment Lead to join our dynamic team. Job Description: As an FTTH / GPON Network Deployment Lead, you will play a pivotal role in a significant project focused on the end-to-end lifecycle of GPON OLT network planning, deployment, migration, testing, and operations for our large telecommunications company. You will be responsible for leading the deployment activities, ensuring successful implementation, migration, and ongoing support of our GPON fiber network. Requirements: Deployment Lead: 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in GPON Fiber Deployment and Migration. Strong understanding of the design of Copper & Fiber networks. Professional/Technical Experience and a solid background in planning and engineering, encompassing backhaul and FTTx/ HFC/ GPON. Deployment Engineer (7 to 8 years relevant experience): Extensive experience in FTTH network implementation, migration & operations. Proficiency in fiber and copper broadband access networks. Knowledge of PON – ITU-T- G.98x standards. Ability to implement and troubleshoot OLT, ONT, and PON devices. Hands-on experience in SDH/WDM Technology, FDH, FTTX & GPON Network. Familiarity with New OLT Service testing. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee network build, integration, rollout, migration, and handover of GPON OLT/ ONT deployment. Perform performance remote configuration, testing, basic troubleshooting, and log collection during deployment & integration challenges. Support Acceptance Testing of the nodes and coordinate with remote teams for issue resolution. Assist in migration, upgrade, and update of Nodes during deployment. Collaborate with Field Operations, Deployment & Planning, Project Management, and other teams. Provide night support during FTTx / GPON network migration. Manage E2E Deployment & Migration, including coordination with third parties. Guide field teams on remote deployment & migration troubleshooting – OLT, ONT devices. Carry out remote configurations and activations of PON devices. Create and maintain deployment & migration documentation, reports, MoPs, SoPs. Adhere to Telco's processes and procedures, escalating as required. Apply known error workarounds and resolutions as per the runbook. Organize and lead technical conference calls with support areas. Manage alarms effectively during change windows and correlate alarms with known activities. Attend Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and adhere to Telco's Change Freeze/Chill process. Escalate potential Security Incidents and adhere to compliance policies. Notify Telco of identified material risks and provide regular updates on risk status. Demonstrate expertise in VLAN bridging, Cross connects, xDSL, FTTx, GPON, and XGSPON technology and devices. Understand SIP, VOIP based communication protocols, and various PON platforms like Radisys, Huawei, Nokia. Possess knowledge of IP-MPLS, IPV4, IPv6, PPPoE, IPoE protocols, ACS, and TR69 – Auto configuration. Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills in Spanish & English. Education: Diploma or Graduate in Engineering (preferably Electronics and Telecommunications). Desired Qualities: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
