Fundamental Equities Analyst – Fall Internship

OVERVIEW : A Madrid based Fundamental L/S Equity Team who specializes in Utilities & MLPs is looking for an Associate Intern to work on projects related to research, company due diligence and data-driven idea generation.This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge research at a leading hedge fund, offering hands-on experience in the equity public markets.RESPONSIBILITIESThis role will report to a Fundamental L/S Equity Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst.The intern will primarily helping to:·Conduct deep fundamental research, primary research, and engage in other data collection efforts ·Build and maintain detailed company financial models ·Create valuation analyses and write company and industry reports·Take on ad-hoc industry related projectsQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS·Location: Madrid Spain, in person / in office·Must be able to work 40 hours per week in the Fall (September – December), possibility for extended internship of up to 6 months·Pursuing bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or other related fields ·Expected graduation date between Winter 2024 and Summer 2025 ·Strong modeling and analytical skills, ability to build DCF models ·Ability to communicate effectively; excellent reading comprehension and writing skills·High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities·Passion for financial markets, regularly following and keeping up to date with market events ·Aspiration to pursue L/S Equity Investing ·Active member in university finance or investment clubLoading
