What are we looking for? We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager who will oversee several critical aspects of company operations, focusing on strengthening our core activities and ensuring operational excellence across the board. This role demands a hands-on leader adept at HR and people's operations management, with substantial experience in labor legislation in Spain, payroll operations, day-to-day finance, and accounting—in both execution and strategy. The successful candidate will ensure the effective management of budgets and personnel and compliance with labor laws, enhancing organizational efficiency and promoting a high-performance culture.
What will you be doing? Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, hiring processes, and payroll management, while ensuring compliance with Spanish labor legislation. Oversee and ensure alignment managing projects and responsibilities related to HR operations, serve as a point of alignment between the executive team and people resource management. Serve as the executive voice and point of contact within the organization. Lead by example by taking a proactive and hands-on approach to managing a wide variety of operational tasks delegated to the role. Lead and optimize day-to-day operations within the company, ensuring all processes align with corporate goals. Manage assigned financial aspects, including budgeting, payroll, and financial planning, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial principles and regulations. Within the reporting lines assigned, provide exemplary leadership, guiding senior and junior team members toward achieving business objectives. While working closely with global finance and legal, manage daily operational and paralegal tasks, reviewing and approving contracts and agreements to ensure they meet company and legal standards. Represent the company in dealings with external parties such as vendors and partners to foster and maintain strategic relationships. What will you bring along? Multi-disciplinary professional with well-founded experience in all aspects of company management & operations MBA or equivalent relevant experience required (in a technology company) Substantial hands-on experience in leadership roles in a technology company Exemplary spoken and written English and Spanish skills Exemplary communication skills Exemplary leadership skills Exemplary analytical skills Exemplary financial management skills Previous experience in finance or financial role is required Exemplary working knowledge of: HR management and administration in Spain, including Payroll management Financial management Labor-related legislation Previous experience in HR management is required Hiring and hiring processes in technology companies Experience in budgeting Creating and managing operations and HR management-related budgets Experience managing legal and paralegal administrative tasks Ability to review and sign off on agreements, contracts, policies Have the ability and openness to be proactive and hands-on, and assist in a wide range of operational and administrative tasks, such as defining and executing company-wide initiatives Experience and ability to represent the company to third parties, including vendors, partners, and providers We are always looking for the best candidates, so if you think you would be a good fit even if you don't meet 100% of the requirements we would love to hear from you!
