Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world's largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors.

ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

Main Purpose:
Lead, on a global scale the development and overall implementation of HSE General Strategy, Standards and HSE assurance processes with key stakeholders, enhancing continuous improvement and best practices across the businessKnowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities (not limited to…)
1. Accountable for Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance at a ITG (Impala Terminals Group) level.
2. Promoting a positive HSE culture and associated behaviours across the Group.
3. Developing and leading the HSE strategy for the Group; and implementation of the ITG (Impala Terminals Group) HSEC Policy, the HSEC Business Principles and associated management system elements and standards across the Group.
4. Implementation of the Group-wide HSE Assurance programme.
5. Advising on compliance with relevant applicable Health, Safety and Environmental, Legislation and Regulations, and industry best practice.
6. Provision of guidance and technical assistance on HSE related matters at a Group level and acting as a focal point for other Group functions, operating companies and divisions on HSE matters – serve as subject matter expert on HSE issues.
7. Supporting operating companies and divisions on the identification and management of significant HSE related risks.
8. Responsible for group-wide HSE information management systems (including principally Sphera), including participating in a project to migrate to a new HSE information management system.
9. Co-ordination of the ITG (Impala Terminals Group) HSEC Steering Committee and advising other committees at a Group, Operating company and Division level on HSE matters.
10. Engaging with relevant and appropriate external stakeholders on HSE related matters (including financial institutions, customers, government agencies and others).
11. Directing HSE due diligence on behalf of the Group in relation to new acquisitions, new and ongoing commercial relationships as required / in response to key risks.
12. Establishing and implementing Group level HSE objectives and targets and monitoring HSE performance of Trafigura globally.
13. Developing a Group-wide HSE competency framework and support development and roll- out of associated training.
14. Reviewing HSE incident reports; directing and participating in incident investigations as appropriate and co-ordination of expert external resource as required.
15. Support ESG reporting in HSE related areas, particularly in meeting new EU reporting requirements, and SEVESO regulation in EU
16. Develop and oversee HSE audits at the ITG assets
17. Plan and supervise the IOS certification process of all ITG assets
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Strong People management in order to provide guidance to cross functional teams to achieve objectives. 
2. Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate in a concise and clear manner
3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multinational, multicultural environment
4. Fluency in English and Spanish; working knowledge of any other language would be an advantage
5. Strong business mindset and problem-solving attitude, with strong aptitudes to identify and foster pragmatic approaches
6. Ability to influence and persuade key stakeholders, shareholder representatives and senior counterparties
7. Experience in Oil & Gas, as well as mining/dry bulk operations
