For one of our key clients and world leaders in materials technology, Coalesce Management Consulting (CMC) is looking for a Health & Safety Manager to assist our client in the realization/construction of one of their megaprojects which will be situated in Northern Spain.Once the construction phase begins, full on-site presence will also be required. This is expected to occur towards the end of this year/early next year.Please note that you would initially work as an independent consultant (autónomo) through CMC with it being our client's intention to make the role permanent upon successful collaboration after or within the 2-year contract.Project Overview and Responsibilities:As the H&S manager, you are entrusted with overseeing health and safety (H&S) management across all phases of a new investment project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning. Your role extends to fostering seamless collaboration with the owner's project teams, as well as EPCM and GC companies, to ensure project success.Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:Actively promote a positive H&S culture and ensure effective health and safety systems are in place. This includes establishing clear project H&S responsibilities, risk management practices, incident reporting mechanisms, trend analysis, and emergency response procedures.Provide support to the Engineering Team and Operations EHS Team during Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews and commissioning activities for new process lines.Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to H&S.Implement robust processes for conducting regular inspections, audits, and assessments of the project site to monitor H&S performance and identify areas for enhancement.Develop protocols for managing safety risks at project activity interfaces.Facilitate H&S training, communication, and awareness programs for project staff and contractors, covering topics such as accident prevention, hazard identification, emergency response, and chemical management.Ensure all incidents, accidents, near misses, and non-conformities are promptly reported, investigated, and addressed with appropriate corrective actions.Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, regulators, suppliers, and subcontractors, regarding H&S matters and performance reporting.Lead and manage a team of H&S personnel to represent the owner's interests on the project.Technical Profile Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management within a project environment, ideally in the same or similar industry sector as the project.Comprehensive knowledge of relevant H&S laws, regulations, standards, and best practices.Proficiency in utilizing H&S software tools and applications.Certification or eligibility for certification as a professional H&S practitioner from a recognized body.Demonstrated success in fostering a safety culture and enhancing safety capabilities among employees and contractors.Fluent communication skills in both English and Spanish.If you are up to the challenge, want to be a part of the build of an extremely unique plant, and want to immerse yourself into one of the most future ready industries, do not hesitate to apply for more information!Alternatively, you can forward your CV to ****** de antigüedad Intermedio#J-18808-Ljbffr
