Management (Information & Communication Technology) The IT Officer is responsible for the maintenance and management of the IT Infrastructure of the Bank, ensuring the availability of network and connectivity of the company. The IT Officer is generally tasked in assisting the IT Head and supervises the IT Staff to ensure that all policies, guidelines, procedures and internal controls set by the management and other regulatory bodies are complied with and undertaken by the department. The IT Officer is generally responsible in assisting the IT Head in bank-wide processes in relation to information technology operations, quality of service, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, coaching, counseling, and disciplining IT staff, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures, maintaining a safe and secure work environment, developing personal growth opportunities, maintains organization`s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies, studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects, maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards, completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center. The IT Officer shall assist the IT Head to ensure adherence to existing internal control procedures while maintaining the highest quality of service.The IT Officer is authorized to take any reasonable action necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of his/her designation within the limits of authority established by the bank policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations consistent with sound business judgment.Recommend information technology strategies, solutions policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiate corrective actions. Evaluate the performance of IT staff and recommend training or certification to upskill the staff. Provide support to the IT Head and the Department in implementing IT related projects of the Bank. Participate in other projects involving IT solutions and support. QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:Must possess at least a bachelor`s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science. ITIL v3 or v4 and Azure certifications are preferred.At least 5 to 7 years of experience in the field of IT that includes extensive experience in infrastructure, network and security. Preferably with knowledge and skills in IT service management and digital transformation, data migration and security. Preferably from the banking industry. Preferably with extensive experience in core banking systems; and with knowledge of BSP's regulatory requirements (MORB) and IT security framework. Preferably with IT Project Management skills/ Agile or Prince.With strong strategic thinking skills, strong leadership and people management skills; and good interpersonal skills. With the ability to understand customer needs and desires; translating them into a strategy in order to deliver the business requirements.
