While daily interactions are not the norm, we believe in the power of flexibility and are looking for someone who is open to occasional after-hours engagement. Your Daily Responsibilities: Lead and shape the engineering team, guiding architectural decisions and overseeing product implementation. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to a Ruby on Rails engineering team. Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategic directions, project timelines, and product roadmaps. Serve as a pivotal point of contact for technical matters within the company. Play a key role in hiring top engineering talent, fostering exceptional teams. Contribute to defining and executing a forward-looking architecture for scalability and performance. Champion novel ideas, driving technical and product enhancements. Combine hands-on coding with collaborative teamwork, ensuring code quality through reviews and documentation. Participate in support cycles, ensuring the stability and excellence of our product. Qualifications We're Seeking: Demonstrated leadership in Ruby on Rails development, with a proven track record of successful projects. Strong grasp of DevOps tools and technologies, including databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Travis, etc.), and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Google Cloud). Solid experience in web app development, RESTful APIs, and database systems. Fluency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including relevant frameworks.
