.Purpose of PositionReporting to and working in close partnership with the Head of Project Management, the Lead Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of multiple concurrent and interconnected mid-sized strategic projects.In this new role, you will line manage the Project Manager and Project Operations functions, providing strategic direction and leadership and fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.The role requires outstanding, communication, leadership and time management skills to motivate a team towards project delivery in line with Awin's overall strategic vision.Key TasksWork in close partnership with the Head of Project Management to plan and manage the PMO project portfolio, collaborating holistically on overall progress and milestone adherence.Lead 4 (Junior) Project Managers and 1 Project Operations Manager, guiding the execution of the project portfolio from inception to delivery and ensuring continued alignment with Awin's strategic goals.Safeguard delivery of the portfolio by proactively managing risks and dependencies, escalating to the Head of Project Management and working collaboratively to find mitigation options.Monitor timelines, KPIs and resource utilisation within your portfolio, evaluating change and proactively discussing needs with the Head of Project Management.Own all program reporting preparation, collaborating with the Project Operations Manager to gather input and translating content into easy-to-digest formats for a variety of audiences up to C-level.Develop and maintain a business facing PMO communication strategy to increase awareness and visibility of the PMO and act as an ambassador for its value in the organisation.Lead the strategic thinking behind the Project Operations function, identifying opportunities to improve project management practices in the business, and working with the Junior Project Operations Manager to implement.Coach the (Junior) Project and Operations Managers in project management best-practice, identifying areas for continuous improvement and encouraging knowledge sharing amongst the wider PMO.Skills & Expertise1+ years of team leadership experience with strong people management skills in an international environment, ideally including exposure of managing remote teams.5+ years of relevant experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale cross-functional projects in a fast-paced tech/online environment.Fluent in Project Management best practice including project charters, RACI, critical path planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and communication strategies.Track record of motivating teams, driving alignment and making impactful decisions that lead to the achievement of strategic goals.Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) and an ability to negotiate and build trusted relationships with senior executives and stakeholders
