Familiar with internal controls and risk management systems gained from working in-house within a corporate entity or in international law-firms, you will join our innovative and disruptive business based in Spain or France. Showcasing your knowledge, this role gives you immediate maximum impact to demonstrate your accountability and independent working across a variety of functions, highlighting your vision to help the business progress in our ambitious goals, by advising on complex legal and compliance issues. This role will be shaped by the right candidate and is a growth opportunity with plans to develop your remit broader after 12 months. Your responsibilities: Responsible for providing legal and compliance support to the French and Spanish organisation; depending on the candidate`s experience, skills, and performance the remit might be extended to other EU markets. Ensure proper development, implementation, adherence, review, and control of anti-Bribery & Corruption compliance rules and assist the company to prevent any related risks. Maintain knowledge of medical devices regulations, best practice in the industry sector and guidelines issued by MedTech Europe and any local medical devices and healthcare association and provide guidance to assigned departments. Constantly assess legal and compliance risks the business is exposed to and monitor the adequacy of the measures implemented by the company, including assessing their proper effectiveness. Provide legal advice on Data Privacy (and GDPR) related matters. Identify and propose action plans to the business to ensure proper measures are implemented to fill the identified gaps (e.g., training programmes, introduction of new procedures). Assist the business and the Public Tenders team with any Public Procurement matters. Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing domestic and international sales, marketing, and direct and indirect procurement contracts. Advising on a range of corporate, commercial and employment legal matters. Assist the International Legal Department with any legal and compliance projects. Dealing with internal and external disputes including employment law related matters. Keeping the management abreast on any new regulations which may have an impact on the business. Liaise with external counsels, auditors, and advisors. Assist the company with the preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of regulatory authority inspections. What are we looking for in you? Law Degree with Minimum 3 years PQE You must have passed the bar exam in either Spain or France Languages required: Spanish and French mother tongue or at least fluent, and English (advanced or at least upper intermediate). Experience of working in-house within a corporate entity or for primary law-firms . Thorough knowledge of corporate, commercial law and compliance matters. Experience in working in a multinational environment (European or Global level). Excellent understanding of Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Competition law and data protection (GDPR) legislation . The role will require the building of collaborative relationships with colleagues globally, HQ and Europe. Experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical sector would be beneficial, but not essential. The ability to work in Europe without the requirement of company sponsorship What's in it for you?
