The Deputy Head (Learning and Innovation) will provide direction, inspiration, and guidance to the Division Heads and will be able to maintain and always improve the learning level supporting the positioning of LES as the School of Choice, as well as being a strong support of the Head of School. The Deputy Head for Learning and Innovation will drive learning in three key areas:For our children and students, you will lead all activity to ensure that they get better more consistently through good struggle. We positively engage in personal and professional development and school improvement.Deputy Head of School (Learning and Innovation) Key AccountabilitiesYou will be the key driver of the following:Learning Improvement Process (LIP): Using the nine criteria a a lens for continual school improvementLeading the Learning: Using learning observations, design and inquiry visits to identify best practice for high impact learning lessons and create action plans for improvementTLSE (Teacher Learning Self Evaluation) program: to ensure faculty and leaders reflect upon their impact on learning and develop learning targets for continuous improvementProfessional Development / Leading Inservice sessions for Staff development: to identify key areas of focus for PD opportunities (eg. NABSS, TeachMeets, external providers, professional library) and to act as a resource for faculty interested in growing as individuals and teams, and to offer inservice sessions to help faculty acquire new insights, understanding and skills to positively impact the learning of their pupilsLES Life Competencies: to insure the LES Life Competencies are clearly understood and supported throughout the LES curriculum and co-curricular activities, and evidence is collected and shared to demonstrate how each pupil is developing and challengedTechnology Integration and Innovation: to look critically at the school´s technology offer and determine short and long-term plans for the use of technology to improve learning, such as new developments in AI, Makerspaces, blended learning, etcData Collection and Interpretation to Improve the Academic Offer at LES: to drive teams to collect and triangulate data to inform instructional changes to improve learning, such as target setting and program reviewSchool Reviews and Authorizations: organize and run school reviews such as Best Practice Network, NABSS and ensure all school licence aspects are completed and securedDeputy Head of School (Learning and Innovation) Key ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee, coach and give guidance / directives to teams, to deliver:Timetable oversight and review for maximum impact on learning outcomesISP Roadmaps (Improve the Offer) and action plans based on evidenceEAL and Multilingualism at LESInternational Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) programsFuture Pathways (Career and University Guidance)Student Voice to impact learningRecruitment of faculty and staff developmentSkills, Qualifications and ExperienceDesired StrengthsAbility to work in a bilingual environmentLeadership for collaborationEmpathy and confidentialityCoaching teams for successCultural Sensitivity and Cross-cultural EQEducational Background / QualificationsBachelor's in education or similarDesired Master's/PHD in Education.Desired Leadership certificate or similarExperienceStrong experience in teaching, at least 10 years.Experience in developing / revising timetables. #J-18808-Ljbffr
