We are one of Europe's leading low-cost airlines, with special relevance in the Spanish domestic market, as well as in France and Italy. Job Purpose The successful applicant will be in charge of performing the technical follow-up of base maintenance checks mainly performed in MAD but also in other required locations, providing adequate overview and progress of each layover, together with the cost control. The individual covering this position will be responsible for technical control, monitoring and interface of the base maintenance tasks contracted Part 145 organisation.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks Perform the technical follow-up of maintenance checks. Provide onsite support at the station where base maintenance is being performed (mainly MAD, but also in other required locations if needed). Cost control of base maintenance check assigned to. Supervision of contracted maintenance providers/suppliers. Provide accurate report to VLG management about each check progress on daily basis. Encourage good and clear communication between all VLG teams, maintenance providers involved and help to resolve possible conflicts. Participate on maintenance contract agreement meetings. Ensure to analyse outcome of each base maintenance event and propose mitigating actions. Propose improvement and amendment of the procedures in the respective field. Other tasks assigned by the Base Maintenance Manager. Education Part 66 license on A320 type OR Technical/Engineering degree. Experience Ideally -extensive experience in the same functions. Relevant experiencein the aviation industry, ideally within technical services in base maintenance. Competencies Extensive knowledge over base maintenance activities and processes. People management skills. Work under stressful and challenging environment. Agile and adoptive to changes. Ability to work in autonomy. Languages Fluency inEnglish andSpanish.Location Madrid - Barajas
