Mechanical department Lead (SOLIDS HANDLING – PACKAGE UNITS) Based in Madrid/Remote. Multinational Chemical Company Mission: Department Manager with full involvement in the Projects as well as responsible for corporate development. Oversee the mechanical aspects of EPC projects, including feasibility studies, detailed design, equipment selection, and technical specifications. Leading the coorporate mechanical team within the engineering and project execution division. She/He will work closely with the EPC Contractor Mechanical Team and own resources. Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies, procedures and methodologies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Develop the Project excellence for Mechanical equipment, in close cooperation with the design team and the Contractors. Ensure that Project activity performed by Contractors including design, requisitioning and purchasing, manufacturing and delivery happen in the most efficient and cost-effective way. The knowledge transfer across projects and the lesson learnt. Coordinate and supervise the different Projects in the different Phases with support of a fast-growing team. Executive analysis and reporting skills are needed to adequately support strategic decisions, especially for main packages (Electrolyzers, Nitrogen, solid handling, etc.) Provide technical guidance and support during the engineering, procurement and construction phase. Internal reporting, effective communication, and collaboration among project stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, vendors, and senior management. Skills required: MsC Mechanical Engineering, 10 years + in a similar position, 1-year minimum Site experience. Experience in Large Industrial projects (>200m$) EPC. Preferred experience in Fertilizers or Chemical Plants, including solid handling. Experience in Module engineering is a plus, as well as Green Hydrogen/Green Ammonia Projects. Strong team spirit.
