A substantial part of the museum focuses on marine ecosystems and advocates for ocean health.Apart from self-guided tours, The Ocean Race Museum provides guided visits, simulator experiences, race boat exploration, and on-site shopping for regatta merchandise and Helly Hansen apparel. Moreover, joining means becoming a part of The Ocean Race Family, i.e., the multinational team of The Ocean Race. The organization's offices are situated in the same building as the museum, serving as the global headquarters for coordinating the race worldwide, spanning various departments such as events, sustainability, commercial, marketing, and race management. During the last race, the team consisted of around 120 individuals from over 30 different nationalities!Currently, we are actively seeking a Museum Coordinator to cover weekend days, special activities, school visits, and the holidays of the permanent Museum group among others.Museum Coordinator - Occasional DaysOur Museum Coordinator - Occasional Days will play a pivotal role covering various responsibilities within the museum. These may include manning the front desk, conducting workshops for children, guiding visitors, managing our store, and assisting in other areas as needed.Schedule:Sundays 10h-14h.Every other month, 3 Saturdays, 10h-18h.Variable: flexible hours or days during the week.Main responsibilities:Customer Service:Greet visitors and provide information about the museum and its activitiesManage activities registrations.Collect necessary data.Museum Facility Management:Oversee the opening and closing of Museum facilities, including managing lights, windows, blinds, doors, and other access points.Ensure proper use and maintenance of facilities, equipment, furniture, and the building, advising the maintenance team.Guided tours and Activities:Conduct guided tours in Spanish and English for visitors. (Training will be provided.)Lead children's workshops and school visits. (Training will be provided).Coordinated special activities organized by the Museum.Store:Welcome and assist customers in the Museum store.Manage sales processes and maintain the store's operationsOther Responsibilities:Provide support in any other area or activity of the museum as required.Assist The Ocean Race central team during events when needed.Strong communication skills and experience in customer service.Academic background in tourism, education, sports, events, or related fields is highly valued.Proficiency in both Spanish and English is a requirement, and knowledge of other languages is considered an asset.Familiarity with event management and group activity coordination.Competent in using office tools.Proactive and dynamic attitude.Interest in sailing and sustainability will be a plus.Comply with the values of The Ocean Race: Trust, Excellence & Care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
