For more information on GTT, please visit .Role Summary :We are seeking a skilled and innovative Network Virtualization Platform Architect to lead the design and implementation of our network virtualization initiatives.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of virtualization technologies, network architecture, and a proven track record of implementing hybrid virtualized environments.The Network Virtualization Platform Architect will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our network infrastructure through the strategic deployment of virtualization technologies be on premises or in the cloud.Duties and Responsibilities :Network Virtualization Strategy :Develop and implement a comprehensive network virtualization strategy aligned with organizational objectives.Identify opportunities for network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN) to enhance network scalability, flexibility, and efficiency.Platform Design and Architecture :Architect and design network virtualization platforms to meet performance, security, and reliability requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualization platforms with existing network infrastructure.Virtual Network Function (VNF) Orchestration :Design and implement orchestration solutions for the deployment and lifecycle management of virtual network functions.Work with vendors and open-source projects to evaluate and integrate VNFs into the virtualization platform.Security and Compliance :Implement security measures for virtualized networks, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of data.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.Performance Optimization :Optimize the performance of virtualized networks through capacity planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in collaboration with network operations teams.Required Experience / Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a Network Virtualization Platform Architect or in a similar role.In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, including hypervisors, network virtualization, and containerization.Experience with at least one of the bigger public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Experience with SDN controllers, network overlays, and virtual switches.Familiarity with VNFs and NFV architecture.Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Desirable Experience / Qualifications :Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP-NV, Cisco CCNP Data Center) is a plus.Core CompetenciesProducts and Services : Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups;
