Vice President, Strategic Development and Industry Relations.Vice President, Strategic Development and Industry Relations.Vice President, Strategic Development and Industry Relations.At Pomerleau, we fully understand that our mission is not only to create infrastructure or erect buildings, but to build communities.As a leader in the construction industry for nearly 60 years, we always aim to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we serve across Canada..To do this, we do everything we can to listen to their needs, to never lose sight of the realities of tomorrow and to innovate in a more committed, more collaborative and more sustainable way.Together, this is how we redefine our practice for the good of our profession and of future generations..What YOU Will Do.As the Vice President, Strategic Development, jump right in and take ownership of developing and executing strategic initiatives for business development in the Ottawa/Gatineau area.This individual will lead the team strategy, market intelligence and gating process.This role requires significant collaboration with the proposal team on most RFQ/RFPs and subsequent reviews.In collaboration with the Regional VP and the Executive Vice-President of Canadian Building Operations (CBO), leveraging existing relationships in the National Capital Region (NCR) area and the pursuit of new opportunities for business growth will be the principal focus..You are entrepreneurial at heart, a champion of winning strategies to gain new opportunities, and the chase is what gets you up every morning.As a key member of our Ottawa leadership team and a member of the Canadian Building Operations (CBO) committee, we will rethink construction together, from idea to completion.Everywhere.All the time.Period..Establish and grow government relations strategy.Initiate new client contacts and develop and maintain relationships with existing clients.Maintain communication with clients, current targeted project status, and known future bidding opportunities.Deliver exceptional presentations and proposals to clients to win business.Develop strategies to optimize project opportunities and meet market business development goals.Develop and execute strategic initiatives that encompass all procurement models (CM, Design Build and P3) to position Pomerleau for optimal success in pursuing new business.Liaise with other division(s) of Pomerleau, including other members our Business Development team across Canada..Communicate the status and efforts on all active pursuits to the Regional VP and Executive VP CBO.Develop specific objectives and strategies to maintain an overall effective business development program within the National Capital Region (NCR) area.Direct the preparation and implementation of business development action plans for target markets.Coordinate with the Regional VPs/Managers and the APEX (alternative projects center of expertise) team on all major team decisions, including JV partners, designers, Equity partners, and Facilities Management provider(s).Coordinate commercial discussions (JV Agreements, Design Agreements etc.)with respective counterparts?
