Join our global team for a career filled with opportunities to solve challenges both small and large, local and global, simple and complex.Our Ships Service Department in Algeciras (Poligono Industrial Cortijo Real) is looking for a Port Services Engineer to join the team!As a Port Services Engineer , you will be responsible for selling and promoting Wilhelmsen Ships Service Network, Products, Services and Concepts in a professional way in ports and terminals.Your role is to satisfy the immediate needs of our customers in the port, always making the customers aware of ongoing campaigns, providing technical support,carrying out inspections and tests on shipboard systems and equipment across the various marine solution areas within the Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) portfolio, and conducting product demonstrations as required or identified as necessary.The position reports to the Area Port Service Engineer Manager Europe / UAE.In our company, you will have the opportunity to deal with different cultures, be part of a dynamic environment with a continuously learning culture, and will be a member of an organization that isShaping the maritime industry.Main responsibilities- Continuously promote WSS products and services to current and potential customers by use of campaign or other material and tools.- Initiate and maintain continuous contact with Ports, Terminals, Dry Docks Repair Yards and Ship's Agents to identify opportunities and obtain information concerning Charterers, vessel arrival times, names of the Captain, Superintendents and other senior members of the crew, to communicate with them before or on arrival and provide them first class service to ensure that any order or enquiries will be given to WSS and not to an alternative local supplier.- Visit vessels upon request for specific services, assist vessel's crew for port deliveries where applicable.- Visit vessels according to the prioritised customer category and highest global business value and sales potential.- Report back the vessel visit outcome in the system and create relevant leads.- To possess the required and defined technical competencies that are agreed with the Area Port Service Engineer Manager, and thus able to promote all Solutions and carry out defined services and inspections / installations.- Complete and issue relevant documentation after every visit / service on board.- Ensure that the customers experience the port service interaction as professional, valuable, and pleasant.- Obtain customer feedback concerning any matters affecting customer satisfaction and report back in Salesforce,included reporting of any customer complain if necessary.- Report back to Area Port Service Engineer Manager on competitor activities in the Port.- Support customer and sales force when vessels will be sold / bought (cylinder count, new orders, additional product / services needed).Required Experience and Skills- Medium vocational technical or marine training.- Minimum 5 years of experience in the marine industry.- Sales experience.- Versatile and adaptable to varied working conditions.- Good Physical Condition.- Very good command of the Spanish and English languages (spoken and written).- Computer literate.- Ability to communicate effectively within a multinational environment.- Ability to work under pressure, independently as well as in a team.- Systematic and accurate nature.Ability to co-operate across organization lines internally and towards customers.- Service oriented and safety minded approach.- Driving license valid in Spain.What We OfferWe offer you a challenging opportunity with exciting possibilities for personal and professional career development.
